This caused me some time and headache to get rid of. Many things have forced their way onto my startup and required use of CCleaner to get rid of, the worst of them being Mcafee and their ecosystem. I have the flat grey model, it still has red accents on the speaker/exhaust grill on top, and the exhaust on the back too, just the subtlest hints that this isn't just a web browsing and youtube watching machine. Now, onto the the couple of cons that really stood out to me.I received my laptop not with Signature Edition Windows 10, but with the bloatware infested OS from DELL, I love DELL hardware, I use their ultrasharp monitors exclusively in work and gaming, but my god their software is annoying. Overall build quality is pretty good, I've never had a laptop this expensive before, but even made of plastic, it feels sturdy enough for how I treat my products, I don't feel like I need to baby it. The keyboard could be better, the touchpad is not great, but once you adjust to it and it's strange acceleration curve is usable, but not reliable for productivity like what you see on macbooks. The SSHD is passable, with livable latency at the moment, I will definitely be purchasing my own SSD to put into the MSATA port in the near future. The laptop does not get too toasty even while gaming at 4k with lowered settings, but while rendering a project in Maya I do make sure to prop it up a little bit more so it can get a bit more ventilation. The 4k screen is vivid and even at 15.6 inches with display scaling in windows 10 it is very usable. I really really love the price and performance of this machine, it handles CAD work, gaming and editing projects like a dream with it's 6700HQ and 4gb 960m.
